My name is Beatrice Muniu. Singer, Song Writer and worship leader based in the UK, but originally from Kenya. I have been singing, writing songs/poems and leading worship since I can remember, but started recording music professionally in the early 2000’s.
Over the years, I have been fortunate to be nominated for best female artist for African Music Awards (AGMA) (UK), Talanta Awards (USA) and for PGMA Awards (UK) for contribution in African Praise.
My debut album is “New Beginnings”. This features a collection of twelve songs in English, Kiswahili and Kikuyu. The album includes songs such as ‘Muti-ini’ (at the Cross), a refreshed version of the traditional song. A song reflecting that at the tree, the foot of the cross, we must patiently keep our faith until we meet with Jesus.
A sung ‘shairi’ (Swahili poem) titled ‘Si Vyema’ (it is not good) is also featured. This hidden track on the album speaks to all single people that are waiting to meet their life partners. It highlights Genesis 2:18 that says that it is not good for man to be alone and reminds people that God knows what is right for them and that they should trust that He will bring the right person their way.
My latest single is titled ‘Wewe Ni Mwema’ (You Are Good). It features the UK based gospel singer, song writer and worship leader, Wole Awolola. Sung in Kiswahili and English, the song testifies of God’s goodness and everlasting love.
Besides making music, I’m also an entrepreneur in the entertainment industry. Before going back to studies, I have been involved in producing live music and creative arts events, specifically for the gospel music sector. This is something I will be getting back into as I’m very passionate about the live expression of the Christian creative arts.
After three years studying, I’m excited to be back ministering through music and currently working on new material which I hope to share in the not too distant future.
It is my desire to see my songs touching hearts and lives to the glory of God. That people might be blessed, encouraged and healed through my music and that they in turn might give glory to the one who determines our destiny and inspires us all.
My music is available on ITunes and YouTube. I’m also on most social media platforms; Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Please find below all the links:
